The release of the upcoming wrestling simulation "WWE 2K16" is still months away, but fans of the long-running franchise already have speculations on the list of fighters, gameplay, and other details.

The latest rumor making the rounds online is that the upcoming fight sim will be graced by no other than Stone Cold Steve Austin. According to a report from WhatCulture, former WWE superstar and fight analyst Jerry "The King" Lawler confirmed on a Memphis Cerrito Live Radio show that Stone Cold will be the star of one of the title's game modes. Lawler is quoted as saying that he and his partner Jim Ross are already recording the vocals for the commentaries.

"We're already working on that. A lot of people ask about my old broadcast partner. They're having in this year's game, a big Stone Cold Steve Austin Attitude Era section and they have me and J.R. back together again in the studio doing voice-overs for that," Lawler said on the show.

Although Austin is reported as the centerpiece of the upcoming title, other WWE superstars will also make their appearances for "WWE 2K16." Already confirmed to be the wrestlers for the "2K16" version are Zack Ryder, Sasha Banks, and Rosa Mendes.

In terms of gameplay, the title is said to feature a new and much more realistic body mechanics system. Characters' reactions to fights will be much more closer to real-life reactions when struck in different parts of the body. In addition, the environment will still be usable, and players can add tables, folding chairs, ladders, and such as part of their arsenal.

"WWE 2K16" is confirmed to be released on Oct. 27 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It will be launched first on North American shores, with international markets to follow three days later.
