Publisher 2K Games had announced that the upcoming iteration for its wrestling title will also be getting different downloadable content.

According to a press statement released to BusinessWire by parent company Take-Two Interactive, the upcoming "WWE 2K16" title will have a number of post-launch DLC. The different expansion packs will be released starting late this year up to early 2016. The downloadable content will greatly expand the title and include different items such as an additional story-driven 2015 Hall of Fame Showcase pack featuring fights between 2015 Hall of Fame inductees; unlockable new moves;  and additional new characters such as NTX future stars and other WWE legends. For PS4 and Xbox One versions of the title, to be included are an exclusive MyPlayer Kickstart pack that unlocks instant access to maximum boosted Superstar ratings and attributes for the campaign MyCareer mode.

Take-Two Interactive also announced that for hardcore fans of the franchise, there will also be discounted prices for all of the unlockable content through the planned $24.99 Season Pass.

Meanwhile, aside from upcoming DLC and the Season Pass, "WWE 2K16" will also have a Digital Deluxe Edition for their respective console versions, which are already available for pre-orders. All versions downloaded through the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live will have a copy of "WWE 2K16," as well as the DLC Season Pass. The current-gen platforms will have the exclusive MyPlayer Kickstart pack included, plus an additional theme for the PS3 and PS4 versions.
