The Moto X 2015 is touted to be a smaller version of the Nexus 6 and, of course, being such, costs lower.
But in this modern day, lower prices are neat but if you get better features with a slightly more expensive phone, all that hardly matters.
The Moto X 2015 is of course one of the newest handsets that Motorola is set to launch this September and this early, comparisons are being made to its lookalike, the Nexus 6.
Up close, the Moto X 2015 seems like a smaller version of the Nexus 6. But of course being the newer device to hit the market, the Moto X does carry some enhancements that could make it a suitable choice.
One is that the Moto X 2015 touts a 5.7-inch screen which somehow places it along the ranks of the iPhone 6 Plus and Galaxy Note 5.
Although that large screen could be something folks would be wary of, the display does offer users ease of use and better resolution (2K) with a better 520 pixels per inch (ppi). The Nexus 6 has a lower 493 pixel rate, which some users believe could be improved had Google taken into consideration the wasted viewing space.
Then there is the processor. The Moto X 2015 comes with a hexa-core Snapdragon chip that is suited for 64-bit mobile computing. This is far better than the Nexus 6 that has a quad-core 32 bit Snapdragon 805 processor, which makes a big difference in terms of processing speed.
Other points to consider about the Moto X include the various storage options (16GB, 32GB, and 64GB) compared to that of Nexus 6 (32GB and 64GB). It also has a higher megapixel main camera at 21 megapixels, compared to the Nexus 6 which totes a 13-megapixel main camera; although such is to be expected considering the Moto X 2015 is quite new.
So in the end, it all boils down to the price. The Moto X costs around $399 while the Nexus 6 runs for a higher $499.
