Surface Pro 4 release and Windows 10: Microsoft announces Surface Enterprise Initiative

Microsoft has announced its Surface Enterprise Initiative, paving the way for the rollout of the Windows 10 Enterprise edition. According to the company announcement, Windows 10 Enterprise was designed in collaboration with millions of IT experts worldwide through their feedbacks. The new platform carries built-in enterprise-grade security, simplified deployment tools, and innovative automatic updates.

To celebrate the initiative, Microsoft also announced that it will be partnering with key tech big-names starting with Dell, with more industry bigwigs like HP soon to follow. This partnership will enable Dell and HP to promote Microsoft's Windows 10-ready products such as the Surface Pro lineup.

As the Enterprise edition of the new platform extends to its mobile versions, tablets running Windows 10 will also enjoy the perks and features of the corporate-centered platform. This is good news particularly for mobile workers, who are currently switching from desktop-type workstations to "always-on-the-go" mobile offices via laptops and business-class tablets.

Partnering with other tech industry movers is considered a good move by Microsoft. According to observers, the Redmond-based giant has much to gain from the initiative, especially since the company is reportedly readying a major product launch for the Surface Pro 4.

The Surface Pro 4 is the upcoming next-gen lineup in Microsoft's successful hybrid tablet series. The current iteration, the Surface Pro 3, is apparently so well-made that it continuously gains rave reviews and even worldwide recognition – landing as one of Time magazine's top 25 inventions of 2014. As such, fans and tech observers alike are expecting the much-anticipated Surface Pro 4 to live up to – and even exceed – the hype. The Surface Pro 4 is rumoredd to come out this year.

In other related news, Microsoft continues to roll out Windows 10. The Home and Professional editions have reportedly reached almost 75 million devices to date.
