"The Walking Dead" season 6 may be the season that a certain comic book character will show up. Next season might show Negan, who fans of the source material by Robert Kirkman have been waiting for to finally appear in the epic post-apocalyptic series.

According to TV Line, AMC is on the lookout for an actor who will play the role of a villain. While it wasn't directly stated that the casting pertains to Negan, the characteristics for the role all attribute the big bad.

The character is named Rich and is a narcissist. He is in his 50s and one who follows a killer angry streak, with "Senator-like charm" and magnetism like that of a car salesman. The aforementioned casting call breakdown has Negan written all over it, and if "The Walking Dead" season 6 will indeed bring him in, it will spell trouble for one major character.

[Spoiler Alert!] In Kirkman's comics, Negan carries around a baseball bat wrapped with barbed wire. He names it Lucille, and uses it to kill Glenn.

If he is coming to the series, it looks like Glenn's days are numbered. Last month, showrunner Scott Gimple hinted the possibility of the character showing up at some point.

"It's absolutely a possibility," Gimple told Entertainment Weekly. "And when I say it's a possibility, we have a plan in place, but there's a couple variables for that plan that we're deciding about. It really depends on a few factors as we move into setting up the last bit of the season story-wise."

"The Walking Dead" season 6 should be a lot more exciting and frightening with a Negan-like character around. But while this appearance is still up in the air, the walkers in the show will take care of the horrors. Executive producer Greg Nicotero said that they will be using some sort of digital augmentation, something "they haven't done before" to make the undead look deader and scarier.

"We're moving noses and putting a cavity there. Taking the area underneath the ribcage and shrinking it down. Kind of Bernie Wrightson style. That stuff is what makes it more exciting because it gives us more opportunities," he explained to The Hollywood Reporter.

"The Walking Dead" season 6 airs Oct. 11.
