A computer expert was found guilty of helping to leak confidential documents belonging to the Pope.
Claudio Sciarpelletti, 48, was accused of assisting former butler Paolo Gabriele whilst working at the Vatican.
He was made to stand trial in a Vatican court after an envelope addressed to Gabriele containing copies of sensitive documents was found on his desk.
The court found Sciarpelletti guilty on Saturday and handed him a suspended sentence of two months for obstruction of justice.
Gabriele was found guilty last month after admitting passing the documents on to Italian journalist Gianluigi Nuzzi.
Nuzzi used leaked documents for his bestselling book Holiness, on corruption in the Vatican.
