Sony just announced "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" Special Edition, which includes awesome collectibles and goodies that are "definitely something worth dreaming about over the summer" for both long-time and newfound fans of the series.
Sony says via the PlayStation blog that the package includes all three single player campaigns of the "Uncharted" games remastered in 1080p at 60 fps. The best part about this Special Edition for gamers waiting for the next "Uncharted" title is the exclusive access to the "Uncharted 4" multiplayer beta.
The Special Edition also includes an "epic" 48-page "The Art of Uncharted Trilogy" artbook. In it is a collection of concept art straight from "Drake's Fortune," "Among Thieves" and "Drake's Deception." The package also contains a steelbook, which Sony says is "exquisitely designed."
The "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" Special Edition will be available in Europe, Australia and New Zealand on Oct. 7. Two days after, on Oct. 9, it will be available to gamers in the U.K. and Ireland. The game itself, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," won't be released until March next year.
The title, as fans already know, was delayed but to make up for this, developer Naughty Dog promises that Nathan Drake's newest adventure will be the best one yet. As per media outlets, this Special Edition release will also help waiting fans get by.
"Since we showed you our first gameplay reveal of 'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End,' more of the game and story have come together, and it's become clear to us that this game is much more ambitious than we originally envisioned," Naughty Dog directors Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann said via a blog post.
"After spending so many years with Nathan Drake, he means a lot to the team, and telling the climactic chapter of his adventures is a task we don't take lightly — this game deserves every bit of the attention to detail, precise pacing, and nuanced storytelling Naughty Dog is known for," they wrote.
