UFC Conor McGregor news: Is fighter following Ronda Rousey to Hollywood?

Conor McGregor is someone who has indeed made a good living marketing himself, something that Jose Aldo claims was the Notorious' ticket of getting to the top.

Some may agree while others may not but the thing is the whole scheme is working to his advantage. It is working so well that it shouldn't be surprising that directors are also taking notice and well, offering perhaps some future Hollywood roles similar to what former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Women's bantamweight champion has been into.

In a media call via MMA Junkie, McGregor claimed that he was recently visited by some directors for a possible role in a film that would star Vin Diesel. Apparently, McGregor is elated about it and is seriously considering it.

But before that happens, McGregor needs to take care of business. He is slated to go up against Aldo this weekend for UFC 194 in what promises to be a colorful and action-packed fight.

Both Aldo and McGregor despise each other and that sidelight has led to the hype tied up with the match.

The two protagonists claim that they are up and ready and are confident that they will prevail this Saturday.

For Aldo, it will be his experience put to the test against the brash-talking Irishman. Many feel that his experience will come in handy, although McGregor still stands as an unpredictable opponent.

McGregor, on the other hand, will do more kicking than talking as he tries to go on the offensive. Other than potentially unifying the UFC featherweight title, he gets the chance to prove that he is the best fighter in the division and that he is not all talk.

After that, McGregor can buckle down and see what Hollywood feels like. If ever, he will officially follow the footsteps of Rousey but hopefully won't lose focus in the process — that is as long as he is actively competing in the UFC.
