After two cryptic teasers, a third trailer for "True Detective" season 2 was released and it proves that the next run of HBO's crime drama will be highly intense.

In the latest one-minute trailer video for season 2 of the highly praised original HBO series, the major characters are finally heard. They blurt out some meaningful speaking lines, which provide some insight into their personalities.

The first one to say his speaking line is Frank Semyon, portrayed by actor Vince Vaughn. The former mobster who is planning to delve into a legal business will reportedly find a big hurdle in his plans when his supposed business partner gets killed.

Semyon says, "Sometimes your worst self is your best self," then he is later shown burning a room before the end of the trailer.

Then there is Ray Velcoro, played by Colin Farrell. He is one of the cops who will take on the case of Semyon's business partner. Velcoro is said to be working for both a corrupt police department and the dangerous mob.

In the trailer, Velcoro says, "My strong suspicion is we got the world we deserve."

Rachel McAdams' character Ani Bezzerides, the only female and only trustworthy cop in the series, comes next. The trailer features her in action, and she seems to be rescuing a missing girl.

Bezzerides says, "This girl's gone missing; nobody cares. The interior is poisoned and suddenly worth billions; nobody cares."

On the other hand, former war veteran-turned-police officer Paul Woodrugh, played by Taylor Kitsch, is also shown in the trailer. He is the one who discovers the body on the Pacific Coast Highway where he is stationed.

In the trailer, Woodrugh says, "This isn't me doing this. This isn't me."

"True Detective" season 2, created by Nic Pizzolatto, is slated to air on June 21.
