There is still no official word from game developer Ubisoft about "Tom Clancy's The Division," the up and coming open world third-person shooter role-playing video game. Many gamers are hoping that this is the year that the title would finally see the light of day.
First announced during the game developer's press conference at the E3 2013 event, the multiplayer RPG was expected to be released in its PC edition, but Ubisoft made a statement on May 15 last year saying that the highly anticipated game would be delayed until 2015. After the announcement made by the company in the second quarter of 2014, there have been no follow-up information given about the progress of the game.
MoviePilot quoted a source from Ubisoft Massive studio as saying, "The game engine works well, it's not done, but works well. The actual game development has barely started, however."
Nonetheless, rumors suggest that the beta version of "Tom Clancy's The Division" for Xbox One will be unveiled in March this year. This rumor started when video game tipster Shinobu602 made an announcement back in November, saying, "The Division beta in March. Coming to Xbox One first."
"Tom Clancy's The Division" revolves around the mission of a group called the Strategic Homeland Division or simply The Division, which is instructed by the President of the United States to curb the threat that engulfs the entire country after a widespread epidemic spreads during the Black Friday and infects the country in just five days. The players should help the group to do whatever is necessary to save the remainder of the country from getting the said disease, which is hard to contain because of the germs found on U.S. banknotes.
Until now, Ubisoft is still mum about the actual release date of the game.
