Thor 3 Ragnarok: Marvel exec divulges new details of upcoming movie

Several reports have been circulating online about the go signal given by Marvel executives to begin the third installment of the Thor franchise.

The film's screenwriters are said to be handpicked as early as now. One of said writers includes Craig Kyle, the former senior vice president for Marvel's production and development. He will write the script with Christopher Yost, who wrote the previous "Thor: The Dark World."

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige divulged in an all-out exclusive interview with Collider.com several pertinent details about the  production status of Thor's next installment, as well as information about Marvel's other project, "Captain America 3."

Feige told Collider: "Both (movies) in development, both in the works. Cap [Captain America] has already been announced, so that's up first. That's in a further stage. 'Thor' is being outlined right now, so both in the works."

On the other hand, Movie Pilot discussed, on their website, that the plot of the third Thor film will evolve on the possible doom of Asgard because of Thor, which is said to be included in the "apocalyptic comic book story of Ragnarok."

In addition, actor Tom Hiddleston, who played the role of Loki, mentioned several details of the Ragnarok plot in one of his latest interviews.

"I think there are very interesting things that happen. In the mythology, when you get to Ragnarok, which is 'the end of all things', it's not the end of the world ... it's the end of time, and the universe, and space," Hiddleston said. "And I think, if I am correct, Loki essentially sets that in motion.

"And his motivation for doing so is intriguing and he almost becomes the incarnation of chaos, in a way."

Chris Hemsworth will reportedly star again as Thor, while Hiddleston and Natalie Portman are also said to be back for the franchise's third installment.
