Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Jessie (Alexandra Breckenridge) will not be getting their happy ever after in the upcoming season of AMC's series "The Walking Dead."

Lincoln himself hinted the sad news during his interview with TV Line back in July, saying it was "tough, dating in the apocalypse." This time, however, specific plotlines are circulating the Internet regarding the devastating losses that the Grimes family will be facing in season 6, including Jessie's shocking death.

Spoiling Dead Fans website reveals that Rick and his son Carl (Chandler Riggs) will be trapped inside a house in Alexandria with Jessie and her own offspring Sam (Major Dodson) and Ron (Austin Abrams). Apparently, a herd of walkers are invading the community and the only way for them to remain undetected is to cover themselves with walker guts to blend in.

Sam, however, ends up getting eaten. Jessie, seeing her son dying, goes crazy and attempts to save him. She will not let go of Sam's arms and is on the brink of falling into the walkers. Rick has to make a horrible decision, which involves chopping off her limb. In the end, Jessie also dies.

When Ron sees what happened to his mother, he goes wild. He aims his gun to shoot Rick, but Carl is quick. To save his own father, Carl takes the bullet and it ends up taking his eye out.

Meanwhile, Lauren Cohan revealed to Entertainment Weekly that the season 6 premiere episode was "the most suffocating beginning" she has experienced so far. Aside from the humongous number of walkers involved in the series, the actress, who plays Maggie Greene, said that what was more terrifying was to see the normally strong characters in the series "crumbling" from the bloodshed.

"The Walking Dead is about being really challenged. So we'll see a ton of challenges and we'll see people the audience has been introduced to as very stable reliable characters crumbling, and I think it's going to be pretty scary," Cohan shared.

The AMC series is slated to return on Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. EST.
