"The Walking Dead" fans do not have to wait long before they get the chance to know more about their favorite zombie survival series, as AMC already released a new video that teases about the things to look forward to in the remaining episodes of season 5.

The trailer that was released on Dec. 11 shows a never-before-seen footage of an episode that will air on the second half of season 5, as well as interviews featuring the cast and crew of the popular post-apocalyptic horror drama series adapted from the equally-famous comic book series by Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard, and Tony Moore.

In one of the interviews, actor Norman Reedus, who portrays the role of Daryl Dixon in the show, said, "We used to move in a direction away from fear. Now we're moving toward things, and hitting things head-on."

Aside from the video, avid fans of both the TV series and the comic books are already talking about the supposed new villain that will be introduced in the remaining half of the season. A lot of people are speculating that Negan will finally appear in the TV adaptation, but another antagonist, or a group of antagonists, will also be included in the next episodes of the series.

Based on fan theories, the involvement of a new rival group of survivors has been hinted several seasons ago by Morgan (Lennie James). When he claimed that he saw "people wearing dead people's faces," some of the other characters thought that he was already losing his mind. But in the comic series, there is a group called The Whisperers or Leather Faces, described as a group of people who disguise themselves as a zombies so that the undead would not notice them.

If the rumors about The Whisperers' debut in the next episodes turn out to be accurate, then they will be the replacement of The Termites in the series.

"The Walking Dead" season 5 returns to the small screen on Feb. 8, 2015.
