Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will desire nothing but get revenge in the upcoming episode of the hit The CW series "The Vampire Diaries."

In "Best Served Cold," Cartermatt reports that the Salvatore brothers want their mother Lily (Annie Wersching) and her vampire lover Julian (Todd Lasance) to suffer for all the atrocities they have done to the people they love. Last episode, she was able to bring him back from the dead with the use of the Phoenix stone and the help of Heretics Mary Louise (Teressa Liane), Nora (Scarlett Byrne), and Beau (Jaiden Kane). When Stefan and Damon saw what Lily has done, they swore to get payback through her one and only love.

The synopsis reveals that the brothers will put their plans in motion during Lily's dinner party where she wants her sons to meet Julian. Damon wants to take down his mother after he had learned that she was the one who engineered the incident regarding the linking spell that connected Elena (Nina Dobrev) to Bonnie (Kat Graham). Lily set it up that Kai (Chris Wood) put up the incantation that would bind his lady love to a deep sleep as along as Bonnie is alive. As for Stefan, he finally discovered what happened to Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore) and their unborn child.

To get back at Lily for what she did, Damon will target Julian because he knows that it will break his mother's heart. Stefan, however, does not agree. The synopsis reveals that although they have the same goal, the brothers will be at odds on how to deal with Julian's arrival. Meanwhile, Lily appears to be oblivious to the plan against her. Her party is supposed to declare peace between her Heretics family and the people of Mystic Falls. She even invites two residents to join her party, but Bonnie and Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) suspect that Lily is planning something else. What can she be scheming this time?

"The Vampire Diaries" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
