Lily (Annie Wersching) is proving to be a tough opponent in the upcoming episode of The CW supernatural series "The Vampire Diaries."
In episode 3, titled "Age of Innocence," Cartermatt reports that the Salvatore matriarch's reach has expanded that Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Bonnie (Kat Graham), and Alaric (Matthew Davis) have joined to forces to find a way to stop her evil plans. The three will be going on a road trip in search of a leverage they can use against her, especially in the aftermath of a clever scheme she orchestrated.
Meanwhile, secrets will be unlocked one by one in the next episode of The CW series. While being locked up, Caroline (Candice King) will hear some key details about Valerie's (Elizabeth Blackmore) past. Stefan (Paul Wesley) will learn some shocking news about his own past from his estranged mother, Lily. As for Alaric, he will find a confidante in Bonnie as he admits a secret he has been keeping for a long time.
Last episode, Lily got mad with her sons after she discovered Malcolm's (Justice Leak) dead body. This violated the pact she made with Stefan earlier when he promised complete control of Mystic Falls once she let them warn the humans to evacuate the town. In exchange, she imprisoned Caroline in the Salvatore house where the two could not touch her.
It turned out that the house was owned by a human, which meant vampires could not enter without an invitation. Upon investigation, Bonnie learned that it was deeded to Matt (Zach Roerig). The only option to break the spell was to kill him, but since that was impossible, Bonnie decided to stop his heart from beating within 20 seconds. She succeeded in her mission, but Stefan could not touch Caroline due to the spell that Valerie put on her.
Instead of protecting Caroline from the Heretics, her skin would burn Stefan once he touched her. This was Valerie's petty revenge on the lovers, as she was still peeved that Stefan got over his crush on her decades back. Meanwhile, Lily used the cloaking spell to hide Elena's (Nina Dobrev) body and put Malcolm's remains in her mausoleum. With their mother determined to piss them off, Damon and Stefan decided to find the sixth Heretic and negotiate a trade.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
