The UKs young and rich

Adele has become the wealthiest young musician in the UK with a personal fortune of £20 million, according to the latest Sunday Times Rich List.

In last year’s Rich List, her wealth was estimated at £6 million but the phenomenal success of her album 21 has added another £14 million to her fortune.

Her wealth exceeds that of other young female artists like Jessie J, Cheryl Cole and Leona Lewis.

Daniel Radcliffe remains the UK’s wealthiest actor under the age of 30, laying claim to a cool £54 million thanks to his roles in Harry Potter and further success in his latest film, The Woman In Black.

His Harry Potter co-stars Rupert Grint and Emma Watson also appear on the Rich List, with £24 million and £26 million apiece.

Watson, who has appeared in campaigns for Burberry and Trésor, features on the list for actors and models.

Twilight star and pin-up Robert Pattinson has seen a leap in his fortune from £32 million in 2011 to £40 million this year.

Keira Knightley is in third place on the list of rich actors, with an estimated wealth of £30 million.

The Sunday Times Rich List 2012 will be published in full on 29 April.
