Fans are expecting a "The Vampire Diaries" crossover with its spinoff show "The Originals" when the latter returns for its fourth season next year. It seems that it is possible if Sybil (Nathalie Kelly) succeeds in putting a damper on Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline's (Candice Accola) wedding plans.

Based on a report by iTechPost, Sybil will sabotage the wedding by using Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to kill Bonnie (Kat Graham) on the actual wedding day. Should this happen, a brokenhearted Caroline may flee to New Orleans to seek support from her old flame Klaus (Joseph Morgan).

Early rumors have suggested that Caroline may pay New Orleans a visit to save Klaus (Joseph Morgan) from the Tunde Blade, given that she is the person that Klaus always calls when he is in a bind.

Reports hint that a Klaroline storyline could also happen seeing as Klaus' former love interest Camille (Leah Pipes) was killed off last season.

Meanwhile, a new side to Klaus is expected to be unveiled to fans of the show in season 4, as it will feature a five-year time jump which means that his daughter Hope is no longer an infant, and may in fact be discovering her powers. The role will be played by young actress Summer Fontana, whose acting credits include a stint in "Basic Witches."

"I'm excited to see what kind of personality this little girl has. Even though she hasn't been around her dad for the last five years, I think there's a lot of Klaus in her — good or bad — and I'm excited to see that in this little powerful witch," Phoebe Tonkin (who portrays Hayley Marshall-Kenner on the show) said of her on-screen daughter.

"This is a girl who has no real memories of her father, so we'll be able to see what Hayley has done, if anything, to keep her aware of her father, who he is, and what the truth is about her life ... We'll see a young girl and see where she is with her own abilities. We'll get to see father and daughter eventually reunited, two strangers coming together with so much in common. There's some really special moments between them," show creator Julie Plec said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
