'The Big Bang Theory' season 9 episode 2 spoilers: Leonard, Sheldon persevere for their ladies' trust

Faint heart never won fair lady in the upcoming episode of "The Big Bang Theory." CBS

Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) will do whatever it takes to win back their ladies' heart in the upcoming episode of the CBS hit series "The Big Bang Theory."

In "The Separation Oscillation," TV Guide reports that Leonard will pay a visit to the woman he kissed during his expedition in the North Sea. Last season, he confessed to Penny that he kissed someone else earlier in their relationship. He apparently wanted no secrets going into their marriage, but the admission did not go well with his fiancée.

Instead, she started doubting whether he was really committed to their relationship. It now appears that Leonard wants to ease Penny's mind about the brief interlude and prove that he had no connection left whatsoever with the girl. He will even go and see her to show Penny that everything is settled on both ends. Will this finally put an end to her apprehensions?

Meanwhile, Sheldon is not taking his break up with Amy (Mayim Bialik) well. She has previously told him that she wanted to "step back and re-evaluate" their relationship. While it certainly did not look like things between the two were over, Sheldon took the separation hard, as he was already ready to propose to Amy.

In the next episode, he will reportedly try to cope up with his sadness by shooting a special episode of "Fun With Flags." It is a YouTube/podcast show that Sheldon and Amy make to teach vexillology or the study of flags. Whether he will admit it or not, this is surely his way to make Amy remember all the fun times they had creating episodes for the show. Will Amy change her mind once she sees what Sheldon's special piece contains?

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
