'The Affair' season 2 spoilers: Noah's reckoning day has come in episode 9

Alison is about to give birth, but Noah is preoccupied with another woman in the upcoming episode of "The Affair." Facebook/Showtime

Noah (Dominic West) will pay for all the atrocities he has done in the upcoming episode of the Showtime series "The Affair."

According to the synopsis, the author's reckoning day is coming and it appears it will rock his world to the core. Does it have something to do with the baby that Alison (Ruth Wilson) is due to give birth to? Viewers learned last episode that Noah was not the father of the child, but Scotty Lockhart (Colin Donnell). It turned out Alison was having an affair with him when she was still married to Cole (Joshua Jackson).

Noah does not know this yet, and it is entirely possible that next episode, he eventually will. Once he learns of the truth, will he leave his fiancée? What about the other revelation that he might not be Scotty's murderer, but Alison? After enduring all the flak as the primary suspect, Noah will finally get the silver lining that he has been praying for. But will he take it at the expense of the woman he professes to love?

Meanwhile, Alison is about to give birth, but she will have to do it on her own, as her fiancé is otherwise busy with his party. Noah is celebrating the success of his book and the promo shows he is not averse to share his happiness with another woman. He can be seen flirting with a girl in a red dress, which is certainly too much of him, as only last time, he was making out with his publicist Eden (Brooke Lyons).

Another clip shows Alison trying but failing to contact Noah. She is going into labor, but she does not want to give birth without him. Her doctor also cannot make it due to the weather and it looks like there will be complications with the baby. Will she be able to get through the ordeal alone?

"The Affair" season 2 airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EST on Showtime.
