After building up the hype for its lineup of electric vehicles, Tesla Motors has already set Sept. 30 as the start of the shipping roll out of the Tesla Model X. Customers who have already pre-ordered the upcoming vehicle as far back as 2013 can finally heave a sigh of relief.

According to ValueWalk, Tesla has already confirmed the launch date to its shareholders in a letter. Although the letter also stated that the company is still working on the final testing stages for the Model X, Tesla is confident that the preparations will be done in time for the September release.

The confirmed release date is indeed good news to both the shareholders and customers alike, as the Tesla's Model X development and launch have been beset by numerous delays and setbacks in the past.

In a most recent setback, financial industry observer Forbes reported that Tesla stocks went down, after the company posted a net loss of $184 million for the second quarter this year. However, it seems that loss in the market has already been taken into account for the Model X and will not greatly affect the launch.

However, much more than the loss in stocks is the minute detail setbacks that the Model X development suffered, which can greatly affect production and release. Specifically, chief executive Elon Musk mentioned the production for the model's second-row seat.

Musk stated, "It's an amazing seat, a sculptural work of art, but a very tricky thing to get right."

Aside from being a revolutionary in pushing for a change from gasoline to electric in the vehicle sector, the Model X will also feature some innovative design. Most noted among the changes is the falcon wing doors, which folds upwards instead of the traditional outward opening. There is also a planned customization page to be put up on the Tesla website, where owners can choose the color, interior and performance build of the Model X.
