The midseason finale of "Teen Wolf" season 5 titled "Status Asthmaticus" will put the gang in the most dangerous situation they have ever been in the entire season. That said, this installment should be chock-full of tension, drama and blood.

Not much about the episode is given away by the synopsis although even with such a short summary, one thing is given an emphasis – Scott and his friends are about to square off with "their greatest enemy yet," which should be enough to worry fans.

The promo for the much-anticipated episode also gives more reasons for viewers to be scared and ready. The clip shows Lydia looking into the future and revealing an ominous prediction that "someone is going to die."

While it has not been revealed who that individual will be, media outlets try to put their finger on the mystery. According to reports, it could be Scott, the leader of the pack and the protagonist of the series played by Tyler Posey, who will be the one to bite the dust. Scott could be killed by Liam in the midseason finale, all in a bid to save Hayden.

In another preview for the episode, Scott is seen warning Liam, "I can't let you kill me." While this looks to be a threat to Scott's life, it seems that Liam's life is in danger here, too.

In the previous episodes, Liam asked Scott to turn Hayden into a werewolf to save her life, but Scott did not agree. This could be motivation enough for Liam to kill him instead.

However, there is another individual who has a motive in getting rid of Scott – Theo. Over the course of "Teen Wolf" season 5, Theo worked on trying to get into Scott's pack, eventually revealing he wasn't going to be part of it with Scott still leading.

While it is highly unlikely that Scott will be killed off in the episode, it is also possible that Scott himself might do the killing, after what he did to Donovan that strained his friendship with Stiles.

"Teen Wolf" season 5 midseason finale "Status Asthmaticus" airs tomorrow, Aug. 24.
