"Teen Mom OG" stars are not allowed to discuss how much they make from the series but Jenelle Evans touched on the subject during an interview with radio show "Jared and Katie in the Morning." There, it was revealed that the MTV reality series is a bit of a money-churner for its cast.

"I wouldn't really say that [I've made a million dollars]," she said as quoted via The Ashley Reality Roundup. "I would say a little bit over maybe half [a million]? I'm not really allowed to discuss it."

This means that the show has been upping its offer for its stars.

Back in 2010, "Teen Mom OG" staple Amber Portwood's statement revealed that she was making $140,000 in a six-month deal, which means a whole season had her gathering up $280,000. If Jenelle is getting the same amount, all six seasons of the series already netted her a good $840,000.

Whatever amount of salary they are getting, The Inquisitr says that fans think it's big enough to defeat the purpose of the show, which is to demonstrate the struggles of becoming a mom at a young age. While so much of these girls' lives was shown in "Teen Mom OG," they gradually became celebrities.

The Inquisitr says that Amber, who is one of the show's pioneering stars, is just one of the members of the cast who published a memoir. In an interview with Yahoo TV, she revealed that when she was approached for "Teen Mom OG," she was offered five thousand dollars, which she said "was a lot at that time."

"I didn't think [the show] was real at first. It was just a quick way, being young, for me to get money and to get a house... I never really believed it was going to get picked up," the reality star shared.

Jenelle is reportedly working on a memoir as well.
