Dubai, Sydney New Year's Fireworks 2016 Live Stream Free: How to Watch New Year 2016 Online Today (Start time)

As we count down to 2016, countries around the world are prepping to send off 2015 and welcome 2016 with huge celebrations and of course fireworks.

Sydney will be one of the first locations to see in the new year, and weather conditions have thankfully complied. Lots of local folks are expected to troop to the harboursides as Sydney fires off an amazing spectacle.

Seven tonnes of explosives will be lit up over the Sydney Harbour to welcome 2016. There will be about 23,000 fireworks from the bridge itself, which should make this year's display truly something to watch, according to fireworks director Fortunato Foti.

The fireworks display will be aired on BBC1 starting at 8:30 p.m. from the Sydney Opera House. For those who prefer to watch it via live stream, you can do so here.

Meanwhile in Dubai, the officials over at Emaar Downtown and Atlantis promise an even bigger fireworks display this year.

Over at Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building will once again host the spectacle plus some added surprises, according to the organizers. With that said, folks who plan to view it are advised to be at the site by 6 p.m. before the Dubai Police put up road blocks.

For those who will opt to see the Dubai fireworks display via live stream, you can do so here.

Other spots in Dubai will also provide a fireworks show. That includes Atlantis, the Palm, Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach Residences.

Atlantis has a 10-second countdown to midnight and a 10-minute fireworks display will be synchronized with music.

Over at the Burj Al Arab, fireworks light up starting at 12:09 a.m. while Jumeirah Beach Residences follow at 12:16 a.m.
