'Supernatural' season 10: An evil version of Charlie returns from Oz and duels Dean

The upcoming episode of "Supernatural" is one about a reunion, and its title, "There's No Place Like Home," fits the occasion very well. Unfortunately, this get-together is not going to be the pleasant affair they expected. The Winchester brothers come together with their old pal Charlie (Felicia Day), who has now returned from Oz. However, she is not the same affable, fun-loving gal they knew.

In season 9 of the series, Charlie left for Oz along with Dorothy (Tiio Horn). This was even after Dean's (Jensen Ackles) efforts to stop her as evil forces might be looming over the land of the Emerald City. However, she assured her friends that she will be home safe. With this, Sam (Jared Padalecki) quelled Dean's trepidations by guaranteeing his brother of Charlie's safe return, simply because "there's no place like home."

As the synopsis revealed, the brothers come across Charlie (a wicked version, of course) assaulting a district attorney (a demon one as Dean points out) and holding her at knifepoint.

In the promo, Dean (and most likely every one of the show's followers) could only ask, "What the hell happened to you at Oz?"

Charlie then creepily responds and says, "Everything I wanted."

So it looks like the stage is set for Dean and his changed friend to come to blows. In the promo trailer, the redhead hunter is seen striking half of the Winchester duo only to hit him again, this time taunting her opponent, "There's the Dean I love. Who doesn't love a little torture?"

As IB Times revealed, episode 11 of "Supernatural" will retrace the adventurer's journey back to the city as well as reveal her intents of her return.

"Charlie definitely comes back from Oz somewhat different — and that's an understatement. Things happened. And typically, what happens in Oz, stays in Oz, but not this time. It's all coming back. Suffice to say, we're going to see a Charlie that has been substantially changed," executive producer Jeremy Carver told TV Line.

"Supernatural" episode 11 "There's No Place Like Home" will be aired Jan. 27.
