Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Hank (David Harewood) will find themselves in an uncompromising situation in the upcoming episode of the hit CBS series "Supergirl."

In "Human for a Day," TV.com reports that the National City will be hit by a strong earthquake, trapping the pair inside one of the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO) bases. If the situation is not dire enough, they will be dismayed to realize that one of prisoners of the Fort Rozz, Jemm (Charles Halford), is also entombed with them. Will they make it out alive?

Meanwhile, Kara will realize that she cannot do everything as a superhero. After all, she has lived as a human suppressing her powers for many years. Although she had kept them bottled inside her, her powers begged to be used, but her fears prevented her from using them. With the quake causing chaos and terror all around her, Kara will have to call on her inner strength to get by the crisis. Her sister needs her help, but so are hundreds of people in the city. Hopefully, Kara will never get to decide who shall be saved and not.

James (Mehcad Brooks), Winn (Jeremy Jordan), and Cat (Calista Flockhart) will also have to deal with the aftermath of nature's wrath. Their families, work, and basically their entire lives have been affected by the earthquake. This catastrophe will test their very limits and they must remain strong to ride it out until the end. Are they up to one of the greatest challenges of their human lives?

CBS has recently announced that they were extending the series' original 13 episodes to 20. Deadline reports that "Supergirl" has been enjoying mostly positive feedbacks since it premiered with 11.24 million viewers. Its most recent rating reached a 2.8 level among the 18–49 demographic. "Supergirl" is one of the network's shows which received a back episodic order, along with "Limitless," "Life in Pieces," and "Code Black."

"Supergirl" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
