Super Bowl 2016 Halftime Show performer news: Beyonce to again dazzle on NFL's grandest stage

Sasha Fierce is back in the National Football League (NFL) scene, as Beyonce will again be performing in this season's Super Bowl together with British rock band Coldplay and Grammy award-winning artist Bruno Mars.

Super Bowl 50 will be held at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Feb. 7, with the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos vying for this season's ultimate prize.

But at the halftime period of the game, Beyonce will again take the stage like she did during Super Bowl XLVII when she performed with former Destiny's Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

According to a report by ESPN, Pepsi confirmed to the Associated Press Beyonce's appearance at Super Bowl 50.

The report also added that Coldplay announced last month the band's upcoming performance in the grandest game of the NFL this season, while Entertainment Tonight reported Bruno Mars' attendance in the event.

Like Beyonce, the halftime show is not new for Bruno Mars who stunned the crowd at Super Bowl XLVIII and started his performance by playing the drums before singing some of his hits and performing with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

However, this year's lineups is faced with a huge task of bettering last year's numbers when Katy Perry performed for the halftime show of Super Bowl XLIX.

According to the report, last season's halftime show was the most watched, garnering 118 million viewers.

It featured Katy Perry opening her performance while singing the smash hit Roar on a giant robotic lion, before serenading the crowd with "Dark Horse," "I Kissed A Girl" (sang with Lenny Kravitz), "Teenage Dream," "California Girls," (performing with Missy Elliot), and closing it with the song "Firework."

This year's Super Bowl will be aired by CBS and will be held on Feb. 7 starting at 6:30 p.m. EST.
