The first glimpse of "Street Fighter 5" was featured at the Capcom Cup tournament over the weekend. A six-minute video showing a match between legendary "Street Fighter" characters Chun-li and Ryu was showcased during the said event that was held in San Francisco, California.

Based on the video, there are several significant changes that gamers will notice in the new "Street Fighter" game. One of those is the power stance that both Chun-li and Ryu possess that can burn EX meter. It can also modify a number of signature attacks.

Both characters also have new moves which can be seen when they use the standard attack as well as in their special move department. The video also reveals a brand-new Revenge meter that shows Ultra Combos.

The changes in the backdrop of the combat are also remarkably noticeable. The gamer can stage a combat with their opponent through a wall then it will cut through a restaurant. Then the arena of the next round will begin where the earlier match ended. This is very evident in the video, wherein Chun-li is seen being slammed by Ryu in a wall inside the restaurant, where a bowl of noodles drops on her head. In the next combat, the same noodle bowl on top of her head is also present.

Aside from the new gameplay video, a new character was also introduced during the release of "Street Fighter 5" on PC and PlayStation 4 platforms. The character's name is Charlie Nash. Charlie first appeared in the game titled "Street Fighter Alpha," but his new version shows that there are a lot of new changes in his appearance.

Capcom executive Yoshinori Ono talked about the upcoming game during the Capcom Cup wearing Charlie's costume. He also announced that the tournaments will resume next year.

"We've been hard at work at Street Fighter 5, and we promise this product will be the one that brings fighting games into the next era. This will be a huge step for us and our community," Ono stated.
