Stasi Eldredge confronts self-image and worth

It's a difficult one even for God-believing, Christian women to crack: the idea that they are worth something and are beautiful.

Stasi Eldredge is co-author of the best seller "Captivating" with her husband John, is working on her next title to help reinforce the simple truth to women that they are loved deeply and fiercely by God, and really are absolutely worth it!

"Captivating" was all about helping women to recover their feminine hearts. In her next book, "Becoming Myself", Stasi will be speaking to the hearts of women about how to embrace who they are and who they are meant to be.

According to Stasi, "Becoming Myself" acknowledges the sheer difficulty of being a woman and urges women to lay down their self-contempt and judge themselves less harshly, embrace who they are meant to be, believe more deeply that what God says about them is true, and participate actively in their own unfolding destiny.

She says, "'Becoming Myself' is a hope-filled book for every woman who has begun to wonder if her life will ever change; if she will ever change.

"Life-long struggles with loneliness, worth, self-image, weight, anger, fear, or depression (to name a few) begin to take a toll on a woman's belief that God not only sees her in her every moment but loves her fiercely."

The title is set to release in August 2013 via David C Cook.

"Stasi writes to women in all seasons of life, from the heart of a woman who loves Jesus and through failure and success continues to journey towards complete transformation," says Don Pape, Vice President Trade Publishing.

"David C Cook is privileged to play a role in the stewardship of the triumphant message of this book."
