St Hugh's Church: A place of brightness and light in Bermondsey

The new St Hugh's Church has floor to ceiling windows at street level on two sides, making it very open to the community

There has been a St Hugh's Church in Crosby Row for nearly 120 years. The former church building, which was part of the Rainbow Building owned by Charterhouse-in-Southwark, was demolished when the site it was on was sold for housing. The new church and community room have been built by the new owners of the site, Family Mosaic Housing Association.

The Bishop of Southwark, the Right Reverend Christopher Chessun, dedicated the new St Hugh's Church building in Bermondsey

St Hugh's will serve as place of worship and as a base for mission and engagement with the local community
