The Sony Xperia Z5 Compact has been out for quite a while and has not been a source of concern to many users, until recently.
Technically it is a minor issue and is a bit odd since the problem affects only the white variant of the said device. The Sony Xperia Z5 Compact comes in a variety of colors (black, coral, yellow, and white), but it seems that some may have to avoid the white variant after some reports of touch input issues.
It does seem a bit odd to hear that only the white variants are having the minor problem of touch screen issues since it doesn't really state if this variant is different from the rest. Nonetheless, it's a possibility that those who ended up with the buggy phones coincidentally got the white variant.
Regardless, the issue is not full-blown, but Sony is addressing the problem as of report writing. In a statement, Sony stated that the problem has been traced and a software update will resolve the matter. The update, which is believed to be released by next week (starting Oct. 26) via their support software partner PC Companion and Bridge, will rolled out through retail partners.
Further to Sony's official statement, it seems that other color variants are not affected by the glitch.
Despite the minor setback, the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact is touted as one of the most promising compact Android devices one can get from the market to date.
Among the features it offers include a 4.6-inch LCD IPS display (720 x 1280 pixels), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of expandable internal storage, a 23 MP main camera, a 5.1 MP front-facing shooter and a 2,700 mAh battery.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Compact retails for about $699.
