Another set of photos of the alleged Sony Xperia Z3 leaked that hinted the imminent release date of the handset. The photos showed the new design and form factor of the new Xperia smartphone.

The purported photos of Xperia Z3 show the top to bottom profiles of Sony Xperia Z3 that hinted a phablet-size form factor. Based on the photos, the new device has more curves compared to previous Xperia handsets that have a flat and rectangular design. This could be the response to comments of some users claiming that the Z1 and Z2 handsets were uncomfortable in the hand.

The speaker was also relocated to the left side of the smartphone. The photos also suggested that the Xperia Z3 may not include stereo speakers like the Xperia Z2. Moreover, the Xperia Z3 packs a magic connector as well as micro SD, micro SIM and micro USB port. The pictures also sport a 1/2.3-inch 20.7MP Exmor RS sensor with G Lens and a camera button.

Meanwhile, Sony Xperia Z3 release date is expected to happen in September based on the previous releases of the Japanese manufacturer. Previous reports claimed that the smartphone will be showcased at this year's IFA event in Berlin just like what Sony did last year. There were also some new tips that stated that the Xperia Z3and the Z3 Compact will be offered first in Vodafone Germany.

Sony Xperia Z3 was speculated to sport a metal frame with PVD coating. The new handset will be thinner and sturdier compared to previous Sony smartphones. Thus, this will make the Xperia Z3 more resilient to damage and scratches.

Other rumored features of the smartphone are Full HD screen display; Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974-AC processor; Android 4.4 Kitkat OS; and Adreno 420 graphics chipset. Thus, consumers should expect that the new handset will be fast and powerful. However, Sony has not officially announced anything yet.
