The Fanatec CSL Elite Racing Wheel has been licensed by Sony as its official racing wheel for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro.

With the lightweight metal rim of 970g, this model has a more casual realistic look that most gamers will find light to the eyes without the glowing red lights most racing wheels are crazy about these days. The CSL Elite Racing Wheel is comfortable to touch with the perforated genuine leather grip and suede fabric. There is Snapdome technology placed in the shifter paddles providing not just strong clicks, but also durability.

Players can even ask Fanatec for feature upgrades and factory options like full-sized steering wheels, full-metal shifters, or the legendary loadcell pedals. There is also an optional analogue handbrake for players who like to powerslide through corners. Gamers who like the thrill of drifting will find the fast steering wheel acceleration very ideal.

Racing wheels are either powerful or precise. The CSL Elite Racing Wheel can do both functions because of the DIrectSensor technology in place. This sensor will prevent any influence or disturbance from the belt drive resulting to precise steering input. The strong force feedback comes from the powerful brushless servo motor matched with a single belt drive. Players can easily and satisfyingly get 6nm of torque from this racing wheel.

Although the CSL Elite Racing Wheel does not come with vibration motors, it can support the feature depending on the steering wheel mode. Both the firmware of the unit and the motor driver firmware can be updated.

Sony may have licensed the Fanatec's latest racing wheel, but the CSL Elite Racing Wheel can also be used on PC and is 100 percent compatible for all major racing games.

Pre-ordering the racing wheel is available at the Fanatec site and Amazon, and is listed at $499.95 price mark.
