Sherlock season 3 premiere: PBS uploads full Comic-Con 2013 panel video ahead of BBC UK air date

PBS has uploaded a video of the Comic-Con 2013 panel with the creators of Sherlock on Youtube, as fans continue to wait for the premiere air date of Sherlock season 3.

Filming has wrapped up for the wildly popular series on Sep. 1, 2013. Producer Sue Vertue tweeted a photo of the season's final clapboard with the caption, "It's a wrap for season 3."

Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch recently dished to The Hollywood Reporter about the new series. He told the publication that an "incredible new villain" will be appearing in the new season.

The air dates for both BBC in the United Kingdom and PBS in the United States have yet to be announced.

The popular series is finally set to debut after a two-year-hiatus.

Twitter user Blogtor Who recently tweeted, "Sherlock Series 3 Ep 1 is set in November and will air on Jan 1, 2014," sparking rumors of a confirmed premiere date. So far, no official air dates have been denied or confirmed by the show's creators.

Sherlock season 2 closed out with Sherlock Holmes faking his own death. "The Empty Hearse", the new title of Episode 1 of Season 3, leaves fans wondering what happens to the famous detective.

"Sherlock" is a British television crime drama with a contemporary update to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes detective stories. The show was created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as Doctor John Watson. Six episodes have been produced so far. The first three episodes aired in 2010, and series 2 aired in 2012. Production for series 3 started in March 2013.
