Shaquille O'Neal thinks Anthony Davis is probably the best power forward today

Shaquille O'Neal has often found himself in a bind mostly because he tends to be tactless at times especially when it comes to voicing out his opinions on certain matters.

As far as the National Basketball Association (NBA) is concerned, he is no stranger as well. He has been criticized at times for being too upfront, which he is amazingly able to get out of with his constant jabbering. And for the avid NBA fans, those instances may be a lot to enumerate.

His latest one, of course, is no different.

Just last month and via the Wall Street Journal, Shaq went on to rant that had he still been playing in the NBA today, New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis would probably have a hard time keeping in step with the 43-year-old big guy.

Of course, there will be some who may beg to differ but then again, one has to consider the facts.

One is that Shaq is bigger and heavier and of course, has the experience that Davis has yet to collect.

So does this mean that he doesn't see Davis as a good player? Apparently, it goes beyond that.

Shaq has someone who may be succeeding him in the future and it will be his six-foot-eight-inch son Shareef. Currently a top high school recruit, Shareef shares some physical similarities to Davis. And from that alone, Shaq urges his son to keep a close watch on Davis since they will most likely be of the same build and height.

"I told him to watch Anthony because he's probably going to be the same height and have the same type of build. Not skinny, but long. He's (Davis) probably the best at that position. He can run, rebound, dominate take over games. He's going to do his thing this year," says Shaq via Nola.com
