Sense8 season 2 spoilers: next season may arrive in fall; show creator thinks it's timely

 Netflix

If Season 1's purpose was to confuse viewers and get them further hooked into the story, expect "Sense 8" Season 2 to be the opposite as it takes on a different direction and bombards their loyal viewers with answers.

After Netflix flip flopped on renewing the show, whose concept revolves around eight individuals who connect with each other mentally and see each other through visions, the series has secured the greenlight for Season 2.

According to show creator J. Michael Straczynski, the show will continue to emphasize the message of unity, which is underscored by the sensates' connection to each other despite distance and diversity.

"At a time when politics and culture seem to be dividing us ... a show talking about the fact that we are better together than we are apart, that we are strengthened and not diminished by a multitude of voices, might be a good message to pass along ... Hopefully with time, as we become more and more one world, the empathy will extend beyond national borders," he said in an interview with Gold Derby.

Based on a report by Movie News Guide, there is a possibility that the series will explore the backstory of the sensates.

It has also been speculated whether there were going to be more sensates to be introduced or whether they would need to come together to finally unravel the mystery behind their abilities.

There may also be developments in the love triangle that is Kala, Wolfgang and Rajan especially since the set up for Kala's lovelife was explored in the first season.

Aside from her romantic interests, Kala could prove to be a key character in finding Whisper.

"Going forward, she'll only be able to contribute more because, in this season, there's more of Whisper hunting us while we're simultaneously trying to hunt him," Tina Desai, the actress who plays Kala in the show, teased in an interview.

While the team is hopeful for a June release but chances are growing slimmer as the month continues to progress and a Fall premiere has become more likely.
