While the sixth season of "Scandal" has yet to be confirmed due to the fact that its star Kerry Washington was out because of pregnancy, it did not stop the rumors from spreading online. The most recent rumor says that a new character will be revealed in the upcoming season.

According to the Parent Herald, this new character will be a baby, as per rumors. Specifically, this will be Olivia's baby, since these same rumors say that Olivia will again be pregnant with her second child sometime within the sixth season of the show. As such, if this spoiler rumor turns out to be true, it might be a good recovery from the last season's most memorable event where Olivia aborted her baby with President Fitz.

These rumors started as soon as Washington's pregnancy made the news, and at that time it was thought that the baby bump will be used by the actress as part of the show. However, since her delivery date was imminent and the show has not yet started filming, there is little chance for this scenario to happen. As for the baby's father, it will not be Fitz's once again, since as all fans can attest, Olivia is currently not involved in a romantic relationship with the president.

Another rumor reported by the Christian Times say that this show will start off with a topic that has to do with elections. This first episode will be entitled "Survival of the Fittest," but other than that, nothing much has been revealed just yet. This might have something to do with the last season's finale, where Olivia accepted the responsibilities of representing and campaigning for Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young).

Regardless, fans will be able to know more once the sixth season of "Scandal" premieres sometime in the middle of 2016-2017 television season.
