Samsung Galaxy VR best apps: 'Eve: Gunjack' offers gaming experience comparable to that with Oculus Rift?

When virtual reality is mentioned these days, people tend to think of the Oculus Rift or the HTC Vive. However, the Samsung Gear VR Headset can let people enjoy a similar VR experience without spending as much money compared to the ones stated above, as long as they have a compatible Samsung Galaxy smartphone listed on Samsung's official  website.

However, currently there aren't many games made for VR. But while the Samsing Gear VR isn't exactly the highest-end of devices, some gaming apps available for this technology are magnificent to behold.

A lot of fans online actually think that "Eve: Gunjack" is essentially the most awesome game for the Gear VR since for $10 its presentation sets the bar for games similar to it. Its graphics are stunning, and the entire game experience is said to be comparable to that with an Oculus Rift. A possible reason for this is that "Eve: Gunjack" is considered the mobile version of the Oculus Rift game "Eve: Valkyrie." While the premise of the game is simplistic and could become repetitive due to its "shoot everything down" action, this game is still popular among fans.

As for a free app, "Smash Hit" is a go-to choice for players. After all, this entertaining smartphone game has already made waves because of its astounding geometric landscapes. With it as an app for VR, soaring through this sci-fi landscape takes players to a whole new level. It's pretty simple yet immersive in its mechanics: fire balls to break glass barriers, get more balls by breaking the pyramid-shaped targets and lose when there are no more balls left to fire.

Samsung Gear VR was released last Nov. 27, 2015 and has had a generally positive reception. It has an 8.0 rating on CNET.com, which points out that the relatively cheap price augmented by its portability and performance makes it a worthwhile investment.

Does the Church of England need to re-think its messaging?

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
