Samsung Galaxy S7 rumors: A more powerful, slightly different phone

Will the Samsung Galaxy S6 be overshadowed by the Galaxy S7 when it arrives? Official Samsung website

September is just around the corner and people can expect mobile phone companies like Samsung to reveal their cards.

Samsung is expected to bring something new to the table. With the release of a new Galaxy Note, they would perhaps now be focusing on the rumored Samsung Galaxy S7.

Tech Radar's concept of the Galaxy S7 features a large screen, bleeding into the edges. It might look like the S6 Edge, except that the screen really does extend to both sides of the device. The website also hopes that Samsung would go for a redefined design of the phone — from a bulky handset to one with a sleek and sophisticated design, with features like 8K resolution for the display and iris scannig technology.

The Samsung Galaxy S7, according to Trusted Reviews, will perhaps feature a USB Type-C port, but what people should wait to see is if it will actually ship along with a quad-core Snapdragon 820 along with Qualcomm's enigmatic new processor, the "Hydra."

There could also be a chance that the Galaxy S7 will be packaged with an "Edge" style-display, popularized by the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. In addition, the phone is said to be packaged with the latest operating system from Android, which is presumably Google's upcoming Android M mobile OS.

Speculations place the release of the Galaxy S7 sometime next year, likely from Feb. 22 to 25, which are also the days the Mobile World Congress 2016 will be held.
