Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5 release date news: Specs leaked

Samsung Galaxy S6 Official Samsung website

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are the hottest upcoming flagships in rumor mills right now, constantly being leaked. Just recently, Jarir Bookstore, a retailer based in the Middle East, listed the pair of phablets on their website.

The listing for the newest Note iteration revealed that the handset will come with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, which generates a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. It will weigh 169 grams and will be 7.6 mm thick. More on the appearance, there are only two color options – black and gold.

It is also stated that the latest Exynos 7422 processor will drive the device, with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB of space. The retailer listed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will also feature a microSD card slot, which will allow users to add up to 128 GB of storage.

The phablet will go with a 16 MP and 5 MP camera combo as well as a 4100 mAh battery and Android 5.1 Lollipop.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will get the same 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display. It will be powered up by an Exynos 7420 processor although the device will offer the same 4 GB RAM, and 32 GB and 64 GB storage options. Unfortunately, this space won't be expandable.

The same shooters in the Galaxy Note 5 will be featured in the bigger S6 Edge. The battery will be at 3000 mAh but the latest Android Lollipop available is expected to be running on the device. The phablet will get a thinner 6.9 mm build and will tip the scale at 156 grams.

For a while now, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus have been leaked and rumored. They are expected to be the centerpiece at the Aug. 13 Unpacked event announced by the South Korean tech firm.
