Samsung Galaxy Note 5 release date, specs: all-powerful chipset expected

What's next for the successor of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4? Samsung Global Site

After Samsung revealed their latest Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge flagship smartphones last month, the world is now setting its eyes on the next high-end device from the South Korean consumer product and mobile phone manufacturer. As early as now, Samsung smartphone fans are excited to see what the alleged Galaxy Note 5 will bring to the table once it is released later this year.

Reports claim that the soon-to-be released Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will feature a new chipset called the Exynos 7422, which will allegedly become the brand's first chipset that will provide an all-in-one solution. Word is that, it will incorporate the CPU, GPU, RAM, modem, as well as the device's storage in one single chip. It could be a very ambitious move on the part of the mobile manufacturing brand, but if Samsung manages to pull it through successfully, then it could give Samsung the leverage of being the first brand with a very powerful product.

Also, Samsung is reportedly planning to come out with the very first phablet that will feature 4K display. It has long been written that the South Korean tech giant is planning to venture into 4K technology for their future products, and the upcoming Galaxy Note 5 could be the first one to enjoy the said technology. It is said to be paired with either a 5.4-inch or a bigger 5.5-inch Super AMOLED dual-edge curved display.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will also come with an improved multi-tasking version of the S-Pen stylus. The brand reportedly collaborated with Wacom to improve the new version of the S-Pen for better user experience.

Other rumored specs of the Note 5 are: 16 GB internal storage and 4 GB RAM, and a 16-megapixel primary camera at the rear that comes with an OIS feature as well as an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is rumored to come out in September this year.
