Ronda Rousey has slowly resurfaced which should be a good sign that she will soon be back in the Octagon.
For those who are wondering, Rousey is still feeling the effects of that shocking loss she suffered back at UFC 193 last year. Rousey fell to Holly Holm via knockout in the second round, although the fight was pretty much lopsided in favor of the former boxer.
Taking some time off was only to be expected. In fact Rousey had that in mind before facing Holm. Unfortunately she took her hiatus with a heavy heart. Dejected, it almost led her to do something foolish — suicide.
Rousey made that revelation recently during her appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," admitting she was close to taking her own life. Thankfully she came to her senses in the nick of time, credited to Travis Browne whom she wanted to have babies with.
Until that admission, no one really speculated that Rousey would take it that far. The thing is she needs to treat her loss as a lesson and get back up.
World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Brock Lesnar, one of Rousey's fans, mentioned in an interview with ESPN SportsCenter that Rousey needs to learn to lose. He adds that one fight doesn't make or break her career and the best thing she can do right now is get back up and figure out what went wrong.
Former boxer Mike Tyson considers Rousey's loss as something that should be charged to experience via TMZ. Losses do come but it is just a spur of the moment thing per the retired heavyweight boxer.
A good sign is that Rousey has been spotted back in the gym training. She is scheduled to have that rematch with Holm later on in 2016 in an effort to avenge that defeat.
Right now, Rousey needs to get her head together. Losses are natural in any sport, but it is rebounding successfully from it that is important.
