Someone will sacrifice a lot in the shocking season 2 finale of The CW's historical fantasy drama "Reign."

Mary (Adelaide Kane) dropped a big bomb at the end of the penultimate episode of season 2 when she told Condé (Sean Teale) that she is pregnant with his child. Her revelation could either be the truth or a lie, since she is already desperate to take him down in any way that she can.

Could Mary's revelation prevent Condé from going ahead with his plans against Francis (Toby Regbo) and his throne?

The official synopsis for the finale of "Reign" season 2 reads:

Mary risks everything to take down Condé, even as Francis believes she is turning against France. Catherine (Megan Follows) makes a bold move and meets with Queen Elizabeth (guest star Rachel Skarsten) in a stunning plot to seek revenge on Mary. Meanwhile, Kenna (Caitlin Stasey) has a secret that will seal the fate of her relationship with Bash (Torrance Coombs)."

The promo trailer for the final episode of season 2 titled "Burn" highlights Catherine's plans to contain Elizabeth by making a proposition to take revenge on their common enemy – Mary.

In the midst of all the plotting, there are no updates about Francis. If Mary's pregnancy turns out to be true, the King of France will be brokenhearted since he still loves his wife. Would he punish both Mary and Condé when the pregnancy news comes out?

On the other hand, Leith (Jonathan Keltz) almost gets what he wished for when Claude (Rose Williams) gives him her diamond earrings to pay for the annulment so that he can freely marry Greer (Celina Sinden). But to Leith's surprise, Greer is not pleased with his marriage proposal, saying that she does not want to give up on the brothel and her independence. She breaks off their relationship and leaves Leith after that.

The season 2 finale of "Reign" airs on May 14 on The CW.
