Kim Richards has finally admitted that she needs help from her alcohol problems.

A source reportedly told PEOPLE magazine that the 50-year-old "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star finally checked into a rehab despite storming out of Dr. Phil's interview last week.

"Kim went to rehab finally because she got arrested, she humiliated her kids and she wants to avoid jail," the source said. "If the arrest hadn't happened she wouldn't be going to rehab; it would be business as usual. She's in denial that she has a problem."

The Bravo celebrity was arrested on April 15 after she allegedly caused public disturbance at the restaurant of the Beverly Hills Hotel before the cops were called. She also reportedly resisted the arrest by locking herself in the bathroom, and allegedly kicked a male officer in the groin when they were finally in the police station. She was also released from the station shortly after, but would still have to face the multiple charges filed by the police.

In Dr. Phil's interview, Richards admitted that she drank a glass of vodka during the day of her arrest, and embarrassedly admitted that it was not the first time that she slipped from her sobriety despite constantly denying that she is drunk in front of her RHOBH co-stars.

Richards said that she would sometime consume wine during the last few months, but she never told anyone about it because she was really ashamed.

But when Dr. Phil called out her children, Richards became furious because the interview turned out to become a televised intervention. This prompted her to walk out of the studio.

Yet if the rumors about Richards' new stint on a rehab facility turned out to be accurate, it will be the fourth time that the former child star will be enrolled in rehab. She finished the last one back in 2012.
