With the first season of Quantico closing on a surprise note as Agent Alex Parrish finally clears her name and saves the lives of millions, the season ends with the FBI still firing her.

When the second season opens, she won't find her skills go to waste as the CIA immediately picks her up to become one of their new agents.

"When season two begins, Alex finds herself at "The Farm," the CIA's mysterious training facility. As Alex navigates the dark world of espionage, far different and more dangerous than what she's learned before, she's pulled into the center of a deadly conspiracy that not only threatens the lives of this country's citizens, but the lives of countless others across the globe. This conspiracy calls everyone around her into question, be it new faces from the CIA or old ones from the Bureau," the synopsis for Season 2 read.

It seems that Alex couldn't catch a break as she will once again find herself in the middle of a full blown conspiracy this time around as the stakes go higher.

Aside from the return of series regularsJake McLaughlin, Johanna Braddy, Yasmine Al Massri and Aunjanue Ellis, there will also be fresh blood added to the series to make it more interesting.

According to TVLine, Aarón Díaz was recently added to the cast as Leon Valdez, a "thrill-seeking photojournalist who has no home or life outside of his backpack."

The report stated that Diaz will be appearing in the first episode of the season and return as a recurring character on the show.

It remains to be seen what role he will play in helping Alex uncover the conspiracy within her supposed new home in the CIA, or whether he would actually the foil that impedes her from blowing the whole thing open.

One thing's for sure, the actor is excited to join the cast that he even posted a snap of his script with the caption, I'm ready? Are you ready?

Ya estoy listo...ustedes? I'm ready... You ready? @abcquantico
