PS Plus August 2015 free games list: Limbo, Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones, Sound Shapes, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris

 Playstation Europe

Sony has come out with next month's lineup for its PlayStation Plus free and discounted games program.

Most notable on the list of free games for August is "Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris." Following the events in "Guardian of Light," Lara Croft travels to Egypt and joins fellow treasure hunter Carter Bell in another treasure adventure, this time with the help of Egyptian gods Isis and Horus, with another god, Set, as their common enemy. This PS4 version features both single player campaign and a four-player co-op mode.

Aside from the Lara Croft title, also available for the PS4 is "Limbo," an acclaimed puzzle platformer set in a monochromatic world. Players will need to go on an adventure and try to find out what happened with the main protagonist's sister.

Meanwhile, there are also titles available on all Sony platforms – the PS4, the older-gen PS3, and PS Vita. "Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones" places players as a clone in a unique, hostile environment trying to escape over 60 levels in an enclosed, high-tech testing facility. The second title, "Sound Shapes," is also available on the PS3, PS4 and PS Vita. In this title, gamers are sent through a series of visual and acoustic-meshed levels while trying to capture the perfect blend of sounds and visual designs.

Meanwhile, for Kratos fans on the PS3 is "God of War: Ascension." The main protagonist battles insanity and the Furies anew as he tries to take on vengeance against Ares, who tricked Kratos into killing his own family.

Another title will also be free for the PS3 as well as for PS Vita. "CastleStorm Complete Edition" is a 2D medieval battle of knights versus Vikings. Players will need to build up an army of both men and machine and try to take down the enemy castle.

The August lineup for the PS Plus program will go live on Aug. 4.
