'Pretty Little Liars' season 6 spoilers: changes in liars' live shown after five years in new promo

The second half of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6 will not run out of mysteries to tell. The revelation of A's identity is just the beginning. When the series returns, five years since the liars discovered the identity of their tormentor have already passed.

The girls have gone to college, established their own career paths and pursued their dreams. The new promo images reveal that Ezra seems to own a new bar called The Radley and his romance with Aria seems to have survived even after the struggles they went through.

In "Pretty Little Liars" season 6, Spencer reunites with her mom and sister, and the photos make it seem like the liars' mothers found a way out of the DiLaurentis basement, where they were trapped to die in the previous season.

It also seems that the latter half of the season will finally see the girls loosening up, with one photo showing the group spending a nice spa day together. It was already established that the liars went separate ways after high school and they seem to have found time to hang out once again.

In the trailer for "Pretty Little Liars" season 6, which reveals that Alison is now a teacher in Rosewood and is now known as Mrs. Rollins, Aria and the group come together to warn Alison that someone is after her.

Other scenes in the preview notably evoke a sense of carefreeness shared by the girls as they are even seen catching up, expressing how much they missed each other's faces and just laughing and having fun.

Sadly, this will not last long. It remains to be seen who this guy terrorizing them is, but Melty is convinced he will be the new baddie the girls will have to deal with, not that the Red Coat is already done with them.

There are speculations that Sara Harvey has something to do with Red Coat or this new threat, and executive producer Marlene King has promised this mystery will be solved when the show returns. For now though, she won't reveal much about this bit.

"Pretty Little Liars" season 6 returns January.
