Premier Radio to showcase unsigned Christian talent

Premier Radio is to give unsigned Christians musicians the chance to shine on a new radio show to air this April.

Loretta Fenton Presents...Unsigned will showcase the best new and unsigned Christian musicians in the UK and beyond.

"Each week the show will be discovering some of the best unsigned Christian artists and introducing them to our extensive audience," said host Fenton.

"There will be a chance for both fresh talent and unsigned acts who are more established to get their music out there.

"The rules are simple - if it's good, we'll play it!"

The show will hold a bi-monthly Spotlight competition giving Christian artists the chance to be voted Artist Of The Month.

Competition winners will be interviewed on the show and perform live in the studio in addition to having their act profiled for a whole month on the Premier website.

"More importantly they'll get their music heard by hundreds of thousands throughout the month," said Fenton.

The show will also feature an outstanding unsigned act performing live in the studio each week in the Centre-stage section.

Fenton explained: "Centre-stage will showcase unsigned acts that are a bit further on - perhaps they have an album, regularly tour or have gained a significant following. The Spotlight competition is strictly for amateurs."

Fenton has a background in music - she has worked as a professional singer for over 10 years. Her many credits include being a part of the WorldWide Message Tribe, aka The Tribe, and Christian girl-band Shine. She has sung with stars such as Diana Ross, Sting and Will Young. Loretta also sings in her own band, Brown:Music, with her twin sister, Natasha. Most recently they supported Take That on parts of their major UK tour.

Fenton added: "I'm keen to support unsigned Christian musicians from all genres, age groups and backgrounds through the show. This is a great opportunity for future talent. A lot of people are really excited."

Loretta Fenton Presents...Unsigned will launch on Saturday 12 April. Christian unsigned bands should register their details by logging on to www.lorettafentonpresents.com, at the Myspace page www.myspace.com/Lorettafentonpresents,or by contacting Premier Radio with a demo.
