Paul George to get own signature shoes? Coming Soon?

Paul George is bound to make up for lost time when the 2015–16 NBA season starts; but playing may not be the only thing that lies ahead.

Like most star players in the NBA today, George could be primed for his own pair of signature shoes, which could use his nickname 'PG-13.'

George has already been deployed by Nike as its main athlete for the HyperRev shoe; but seeing that the Pacers star has been showing great strides despite that horrific leg injury last year, hearing about George getting his own signature shoes makes a lot of sense.

Although there is no word yet on what the shoes would look like, the pair will likely don the Indiana Pacers colors, blue and yellow. With the right blend and combination, the shoes should be something slick to watch out for.

George's name actually appears in the list of players that SI.com's Jeremy Woo compiled. The list breaks down players who are likely next in line to get their own signature shoes.

Aside from George, in the list are Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans, Andrew Wiggins of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Nick Young of the Los Angeles Lakers, and Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs,

Now, while Davis and Wiggins are no-brainers, it seems a bit surprising that Young and Duncan are in the list.

Young did have a good year with the Lakers some years back; but his demotion of sorts and the fact that the Lakers are looking to trade him somehow carries a big question mark on why Young is included in that list.

On the other hand, Duncan is undoubtedly someone who deserves a signature shoe. What is surprising is that the ageless San Antonio big man has none yet. Although a signature shoe does seem to be coming a wee bit late, well, better late than never, right?
