It has already been confirmed that the new season of "Outlander" is set to premiere in two months. However, aside from an April return announcement, there is still no definite date set for the show's return on Starz.

Meanwhile, the season 2 of the time-travel drama has already completed its casting as it is also revealed that a more mature Brianna is set to debut in the new season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Sophie Skelton landed one of the pivotal roles for season 2 of "Outlander," that of Brianna. The character is the adult daughter of Jamie and Claire, and in season 2 of the books, she will set out to look for her father whom she never met when she was still a child.

Aside from Skelton, the new season will also introduce the adult version of Roger Wakefield, Reverend Wakefield's son, and the two will be intertwined in the new season. Roger Wakefield will be played by Richard Rankin.

As to when Brianna will make her appearance in season 2 of "Outlander," Zap2it previously quoted executive producer Ron Moore as teasing that the daughter will have her debut in the continuation of the 1968 story. However, fans will not see her until the second half of the season. "You will get to see her [but] not until we get back to the 1968 story, which won't be for a while — toward the end of the season," Moore said.

Closely following the events in the book series penned by Diana Gabaldon, season 2 of "Outlander" will have fans see Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) in France, trying to stop the battle of Culloden while infiltrating the Jacobite movement led by Prince Charles Edward Stuart. The two will be helped by a number of people, including Jamie's cousin Jared.
