With the confirmation of "One Punch Man" season 2 comes new information about the possible storylines of the upcoming anime installment.

According to Game and Guide, Saitama is set to return stronger than ever as it will be revealed that Saitama is not limitless, but is instead the most supreme hero in the universe.

Based on a report by Comic Book, while production is now under way, there are speculations that Saitama will acquire a new power when the show returns. There are also rumors that Saitama could be undergoing a major physical transformation, leading fans to believe that he may be growing hair for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that hint that the origins of Saitama's powers may also be explored in season 2.

According to a report from iTechPost, the second season may see the return of Lord Boros. While Saitama has already defeated him in the previous season, there is a strong possibility that he will be resurrected as a stronger antagonist to exact his revenge from Saitama. It has also been speculated that he may return with the backing of stronger allies so he may become a threat to the Hero Association.

More allies are also expected to side with Saitama to even up the numbers with their rivals. It is also expected that along with exploring Saitama's powers, the show will also be putting the spotlight on his weakness.

More monsters can also be expected in the upcoming season as season 2 seeks to level up the action and excitement provided by season 1. It is expected that these new monsters will be an even bigger threat than Mosquito Girl, Deep Sea King, Vaccine Man and Beefcake.

And the long wait will bear fruit for loyal fans of the show as season 2 will have 19 episodes, compared to the previous season's 12 episodes.

The series is expected to return on the spring of 2017.
